2x increase of the lens's focal length; Dustproof and waterproof specifications (JIS 2 equivalent) Lens placement and coatings are optimized to minimize the ghosting; Built-in microcomputer in the extenders enables communication between lens, extender and camera
The consensus here is quite correct, there is a little (but liveable) corner loss, but the center is very clear still. That said, if you are willing to spend more, the 100-400 f/4L will beat the 70-200 f/2.8 IS II with 2x teleconverter in terms of quality and speed, but it also costs 3 times as much. For $450 the teleconverter is a great thing

May 8, 2018 3 I recently got a hold of the Canon 2x Extender Version III. I primarily got it to pair with a Canon 70-200 f2.8 MkII to take it up to 400 mm, but I was interested in seeing how it worked with the Sigma. The following 2 images were taken on a tripod, about 50 yards out from an Osprey at rest in full sunlight.

Teleconverters are one of those things people buy when they first start in photography because they sound like a neat idea. However, they soon get put in a drawer and never get used again because they really don't work that well in practice.

High-Quality Optics. The Canon EF Extender 2x III features five groups/nine elements that ensure improved optical performance. All optical elements use Canon’s super-spectra coating, which reduces ghosting and flare to minimize post-processing requirements and a fluorine coating on the front and rear elements makes smudge marks much easier to clean. The Canon EF 300mm + EF 2x TC III combination, which is a 600mm f/5.6 lens, produces results that are far superior to my bare EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L lens any time, in any light. Details are sharper and clearer, even in the corner of the frame, with the 2x TC, than I thought possible. So when you hear anecdotes like "The 2x TC will degrade IQ

I'm surprise at Shutterbug for allowing such a misrepresentation in this article here and in print (August 2011 issue). The "Canon Extender EF 2X III" is not completely compatible with the Canon EF 70-300mm f 4-5.6L IS USM lens. In order to attach the extender you have to set the lens at 300mm and then it becomes a fix 600mm focal length. 0983 280 283 / 081 6686 888. duytan2802@gmail.com. Adding a recent Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens to the EOSM produced a superior experience. I had bought the extender to use with the EOS 6D but I was curious to see how it worked with an adapter on the EOSM so I could take advantage of the added increase in

There is this compatibility chart for the 1.4X extender III: Canon Extender EF 1.4x Compatibility Chart. It is most definitely compatible with the F4 70-200 lens (I used to use this lens myself before upgrading to the 2.8). Image quality with the Canon is really quite good, and AF wasn't really affected too much. OP. My question is, is any EF/S lens compatible with the extender itself? The lens in question is the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Me too 0 Likes Reply All forum topics
Product description. The Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Canon Digital SLR Cameras is a dedicated APO teleconverter that can be mounted between select lenses and the camera body to increase the focal length by the power of 1.4. The multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting, which is a common problem with digital cameras.
